Hello and thank you for visiting this page! I am a freelance director, actor and educator specializing in creating and nurturing collaborative, ensemble theatre with an emphasis on inclusion and community building. My strengths as a director lie in the development of new plays and creating inclusive collaborations with as many different types of people that can be assembled both onstage and off. My directing work has been seen regionally in Chicago (A Red Orchid Theatre, The Hypocrites, Collaboraction), Arkansas (Theatre Squared), Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh Public Theatre, City Theatre, No Name Players) and Austin, Texas (Hyde Park Theatre, Zach Theatre). Throughout my career, I've worn many different hats. I've served as dramaturg for new play development, worked in non-profit fundraising, self produced and led new play development initiatives. I spent four years as casting director with The Hypocrites where I was a longtime company member and an integral contributor to the growth of the organization. Recently, I finished a season long directing fellowship with Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, Florida. While there, I was the assistant director on three productions, supported the Literary Department with dramaturgy, facilitated pre-show discussion events surrounding the productions and conducted all understudy rehearsals. I’m currently living in my hometown of Pittsburgh where I work as an adjunct professor with Point Park University and Seton Hill University.
